Goals for August


How good was I with the goals for July?


I'll list them here and tell you how I got on with them before I list the ones for April.

BLOGGING


1.  Continue weekly series on Encouragement  (Wed) & Housework Funwork  (Fri)
because the Sunday "Why We Worship" series has ended.                   YES




2.  Continue with Bible Memorization Challenge    

              YES




3.  Start a new Sunday Series  entitled  "It's God's Love"  
              YES




4.  Continue to Blog Hop each weekday but take Saturday and Sunday off.   
                YES

5.  Improve my schedule to help me to Tweet better for each blog post.  
                NO   -   still not buckled down to sort this out yet

6.  Have at least 2 other posts on the blog other than in the 3 series.   
                   YES   -   I had the July Goals and  Book Review 16








7.  Arrange to be a guest blogger on another blog.
  YES   -   I did a guest post on  "For What it's Worth" on 23rd July

8.  See an increase in my Google Analytic stats from June to July.
                   YES   -   Better this month

Visits:   1953                               increase  of  474         
Unique visitors:   1368                 increase   of   356              
Pageviews:   4163                         decrease   of   709
Pages per visit:   2.13                   decrease     but less than last month 
Av. visit duration:   3.06 mins       decrease     but less than last month
Bounce rate:   71.27%                  worse again      
New Visits:   58.01%                    increased slightly
Email Sign ups        6                   increase in last month

Alexa (global) ranking  was 475,612 for June   but is  now  326,533  for July which is better yet again.
Google ranking     Unranked with 2 pages indexed  in June and has remained the same for July.


9.  Start to Monetize the blog.        NO  -  I procrastinated again.



HOME
1.  Overhaul & Inventory of Utility Room.        YES
2.  Overhaul & Inventory of Shed.        
                   NO  -  need to get new shed so put off to next month

3.  Finish Cleaning Jewellery.      YES                     
4.  Get all old pictures into years and Scan up to 1980.    YES
5.  Get Plumber in to change tap in Utility room.            YES
6.  Tackle another item on one of the ToDo lists.            
          YES   one in the Guest Room Ensuite  &  two in the Office


CHURCH
1.  Revamp JULY & AUGUST Sunday School Curriculum.     YES
2.  Update Church Website.          NO
3.  Continue to keep up the Church Facebook page.       YES


PERSONAL
1.  Start back stepping and using Fit Bit Flex in effort to lose more weight.    NO
2.  Arrange in advance to have 2 specific evenings out with my husband Fred. 
          NO  -  Basically this didn't happen because of Fred's work travel and also because of him having a cold and still not completely back to normal from the food poisoning, which can take some time.

3.  Be more structured each day so that I spend less time on the computer.
          YES  -  there was a definite improvement here

4.  Review the last Agatha Christie Book that I read.     YES
     Also read and review another portion of the book on Grace.     NO

5.  Meet up with a friend for coffee, lunch, dinner or some time out together. 
          YES  -  I met up with a friend for lunch in Belfast
   
6.  Start Exercising 3 times a week.    NO   
7.  Continue at my Online Graphics Course once a week.    NO
8.  Sew up the crocheted single bed size cover.
      NO  -  but my sister came to stay for a few days and I did some crocheting for her then.

9.  Visit another two places that I have not been to since returning to live in Northern Ireland 3 years ago.     NO   

10. Go out of my comfort zone twice in some way.     
        YES  -  with Fred travelling for work I took over leading the worship in church twice while he was away

11. Decide on holiday - where & when  
         Yes  -  we are going to Malta at the end of August & it is booked.

12. Fred & I will continue to read some Psalms out loud to each other each day. 
         NO  -  because of travel and sickness we did not keep it up this month



Obviously I was weakest in the Personal area this month yet again.





BLOGGING
1.  Continue weekly series on Encouragement  (Wed) & Housework Funwork  (Fri)
& the Sunday "It's God's Love" series. 
2.  Continue with Bible Memorization Challenge

8.  Start to Monetize the blog.


HOME
1.  Overhaul & Inventory of Games Room.
2.  New Shed bought, erected & kitted out.
3.  Inventory of Shed.
4.  Get old pictures scanned up to 1982. 
5.  Tackle another item on one of the ToDo lists.


CHURCH
1.  Revamp September Sunday School Curriculum.
2.  Update Church Website.
3.  Continue to keep up the Church Facebook page. 


PERSONAL

Check back at the start of next month to see how I managed to keep up with my goals this time.

  1. I think you're doing a great job with your goals. Everyone can always improve somehow, somewhere and I think you've done well for yourself. Keep it up! :)
