Songs for Worship #3

Welcome to the new Sunday Series

Last year from January to June I wrote a series on
Why We Worship  where I considered an attribute of God each Sunday.

At different times people mentioned to me about a song that a post reminded them of so I thought that I would now go through those attributes again with a song for each one.


So I'm following the weeks of Why We Worship from last year and I hope you will follow along with me.

                         Looking today at

The King of Love

The King of love is my delight.
His eyes are fire, His face is light
The First and Last, the Living One.
His name is Jesus
And from His mouth there comes a sound
That shakes the earth splits the ground
And yet this voice is life to me.
The voice of Jesus

CHORUS:
And I will sing my songs of love,
calling out across the earth
The King has come,
the King of love has come
And troubled minds can know His peace,

VERSE 2:
My lovers breath is sweetest wine.
I am His prize and He is mine
How can a sinner know such joy?
Because of Jesus
The wounds of love are in His hands.

It's God's Love #24

On Sundays I write a short post consisting of a Bible Verse around
the topic of God's Love and we are coming near the end of this series now.

Thank you for joining us today.

God's Love

is simply 

the character 

of God

because the 

Bible 

tells us that 

God not only loves us 

but

 God is LOVE. 

I'm thankful

to know that

because we have

trusted in God

we have His Love in us

and we will be able to share His Love

with others.


They will know that we are Christians by our Love

which is God's Love.

Why We Worship 3

I am taking time each week to ask myself "Why we worship".

I am not presuming that there is one overall right answer.

Perhaps because we are all uniquely different people we may also believe we have uniquely different reasons for worshipping God.

I believe we will have some uniquely different ways of worshipping but there are many reasons why we worship that must be common to us all.

In this series I'm really focusing on the attributes of God at the moment with

       
          God is GREAT

               
                    God is WORTHY 

                             

                                   

and for today I'm taking the bible verse   1 John 4 v 8

How do we know that He is Love?


The Bible tells us He is Love as in the verse above.


Our pastors and leaders in church explain to us that He is Love


But most of all our personal relationship with Him cries out to us that He is Love.

We would not even be able to have this relationship with Him if He was not Love.

We would not have been given the only way of Salvation through Jesus if He was not Love. 

We would never be able to get beyond our sinful nature if He was not Love.

I am thankful that God is Love and I have experienced His great Love for me.

Without a doubt God is Love!
