#100HappyDays - Week 8

The Challenge

is to take a picture of something that makes you happy each day for 100 days and post it on facebook or twitter or google plus, etc.

I have chosen to put it on Facebook each day but also each Saturday I will do an update for the week on my blog.

Do we need something complicated to make us happy?

No I believe that mostly the simplest of things make us happy.

A silly picture, a funny word that makes us laugh, a familiar taste, a sense of satisfaction over something we can do.

When we try and plan things to be happy events or special moments or fantastic pictures, they can be spoilt by the simplest of things as well.  But some of the best events, moments or pictures are the ones we haven't thought out or planned or hoped for but have just happened when we are not thinking about them.

I am definitely a person who likes to plan things but I have to learn to sometimes just let things happen and enjoy the moments that God gives me and not just the ones I plan.

I just had to smile when I saw this picture.

I am very happy that Fred and I have been keeping up with our Lenten Bible Reading Challenge and that we have friends around the world doing it too.

Halfway through this challenge

and still enjoying it.

Today I was very happy to be able to embed this video Gospel Presentation by Glen Scrivener in my blog side bar.

At one stage today I was just very happy to come home and have a big mug of coffee

I was very happy with the revamping of my blog.

This one that I saw on Facebook today really made me laugh out loud.

This picture makes me think of my husband Fred,  he sure can do this.

Do you try to plan your happy times?

Let's try to let God give us our happy times and not worry about organising them.

  1. Too much planning can get in the way of what the Lord has in store. I think it's good to have loose plans but be flexible within those plans.

  2. I told my daughter just the other day we have to text 10 things positive a day.....I love this. Thank you for sharing it on our Four Seasons Blog Hop,
