Housework Organising Schedule - Housework/Funwork

If you have been dropping by for my Housework/Funwork Series you will know that I had a schedule for 2014 which meant overhauling (Spring Cleaning but not necessarily in Spring Time) and Making an Inventory of every room in our house.

Yes I knew it was a big task as we do have quite a few rooms but I was willing to try it to get to my ultimate goal of

"A place for everything & everything in its place".

Well last month may have been the end of 2014 but it was not the end of the housework - and of course never will be!

Some rooms were completed as planned.

Some rooms were not.

Some rooms were completed and then something happened (like the painters in doing 6 rooms plus hall and stairs shortly before Christmas) and now they need some more effort.

Some rooms were started and not finished.

Some rooms did not get started.

So having worked through my monthly & weekly schedules set up last January

I was now ready to review and revise them for a complete overlook for this year.

I have also found some things that need to be done less often than previously envisaged and other things that need to be done more often, plus some things that need to be changed to a different month or week or day.

The other weekly, monthly and daily tasks are in my iPad in my "Things" App to come up in my daily to dos.

So here we are ready to face the housework and organising in 2015 but knowing that it will be easier than last year because of

so much inventory already completed

having got somewhat used to this type of plan

and of course no painters coming in to disrupt my good efforts

oh yes
and then there is another thing to help which I'll talk about next week

Housework or Funwork this week?

Funwork - I got working with spreadsheets
and Fred helped with all the packing up and sorting out from Christmas because of my sore arm.

  1. Work/fun indeed. I don't know about you, but there is a certain sort of peace in knowing that a room is completely clean and organized. I also have an inventory list though it needs revisiting since it's been a couple of years since I did it. It's also great motivation to declutter which seems a constant.

  2. Wow, what a schedule.... it would be nice to be that organized and it is certainly a great thing to aim for. :)

  3. I LOVE looking at other people's schedules! I can totally relate how even the best of schedules can get all messed up.

This last year we had several things that really threw my schedule off. It was either because we were having work done in our home or I was heavily involved in helping other people with things in their home (unexpectedly) which took me out of MY home, lol!

Right now I am functioning on a to-do list but I've been desperately wanting to update my schedule. Thanks so much for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday!

  4. Great schedules! I found you from Kathe With An E

  5. Wow, you go girl! Thanks for sharing your schedule...I am always inspired to better mine (which is a SERIOUS work in progress)! ;)

  6. I really need to make a master schedule like this!

  7. Love the schedule. I have an obsession at looking at and reading other people's schedules. Thanks for linking up. I have pinned to the Bloggers Brags Pinterest Board. Hope to see you next week.

  8. wow you have made super progress!

  9. My head is spinning! You are uber organized. I am in awe! I do have to get some kind of system in place for regular cleaning (and decluttering) in order to maintain a healthy home. It just won't be as organized as yours! Visiting from #LFEO link up

  10. I love how you are so organize and have this all layed out !
