Christian Songs for Kids - God is So Good

Do you find it hard to get visuals and recordings for different kids songs?

I have always found this a problem so I am now sharing songs that I have used with children providing you with

Visuals
(Powerpoint or Picture or details of how you can make one)

Words
(chords also available)

Recording
(mp3 or video to learn the song)

Then if you would like to download the visual of the song there will be a link provided to my creation, or I will direct you to where else you can find it.

This month I am taking the theme of

The Attributes of God

The song I have chosen is

God is so Good

This is a song that is so very simple but so full of the truth and gives the Gospel in a nutshell.

I like to use this song to reinforce about the Goodness of God to us in that He has made the only provision He could to forgive our sins, taking them away and leaving us free from the captivity of sin. Then draw out from the children about God giving us Jesus, His only Son to take our sins on Himself and suffer and die instead of us.

POWERPOINT

I would like to thank Phillip Martin for the free artwork he provides for projects
like this you can find his many other pics at www.phillipmartin.com

AUDIO RECORDING

ACTIONS

For this song we normally just clap all the way through.

VIDEO

My husband and I have now added several videos of KIDS SONGS to his You Tube Channel
Apostolic Worship one of which is a version of this song so I have included it here as well.

Please feel free to visit our KIDS SONG Playlist at Apostolic Worship where you use any of these songs to help you at home or church or school as you teach the children more about God.

Notes:

I believe the Words (of the first verse at least) are by Velna A. Ledin

There appear to be many variations of the other verses of which the authors are unknown.
More information can be found HERE

I Hope you enjoy the song and this is a help to you.

This month I am taking the theme of

The Love of Jesus

The song I have chosen is

Jesus' Love is Very Wonderful

I think this is another song that I first learnt through Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) which means I have been singing this one for around 40 years.

Kids love to do the actions for this one as it involves clapping and big arm movements.
Another thing we like to do is sing it a few times and then on the last time really speed it up.

Another great teaching tool for explaining to the children that there is nothing that cannot be encompassed by the love of Jesus.

This month I am taking the theme of

 Bible Stories

I thoroughly believe we should teach and encourage children to read the Bible and to grow in faith by knowledge and belief in God's Word.

The song I have chosen is

I Will Make You Fishers of Men

This is a song that I learned as a child in Sunday School.

It is taken from the words of Jesus in the Bible and contains good advice for us all.

I like the children to have fun singing and doing the actions of this song.

It is also a good teaching tool.

This month I am taking the theme of

EASTER

I want to do an Easter song now in advance to give you time to prepare.

The song I have chosen is

He's Alive

Although I first learned this song as part of adult worship I love to do this with the kids groups as they always enjoy clapping to the beat and they need to know that
Jesus is ALIVE!

My husband is a worship leader but also accompanies the children a lot on the guitar and he will go up the keys while playing this with the kids just as he would in church worship time.

My original visual for this was made many years ago and was a large piece of pink card see below.

This original visual was hand written on A1 card and then covered in clear sticky plastic to help protect it and it did a good job because that visual can still be used today if necessary.

Then more recently I redesigned it on Powerpoint to be projected and also to be printed out on A4 cards

POWERPOINT

WORDS

He's Alive, the stone's been rolled away
He's Alive, He's no longer where He lay
He's Alive, I can hear the angels say
Let all the earth rejoice He's Alive.

Notes:
I have found some versions of a song with this as a chorus except the words are very slightly different and we have always sung it to a different tempo as well.
I have also found the chorus part on it's own attributed to

NOW

I am going to share songs with you providing a

Also don't forget you can go to the side bar on the right and sign up for an email reminder of my posts. Then you will know when the next song is posted.

Today I am starting with the theme of

 CREATION

The song I have chosen is

WHO MADE?

My own children enjoyed singing this as they grew up through our Good News Club and Sunday School.

It is a simple repetitive song which strongly teaches the children that God is the creator of all things and of course there are some great actions for everyone to take part.

POWERPOINT

I made this presentation for projecting the words.
