Why We Worship 24

I am taking time each week to ask myself "Why we worship"

This is Trinity Sunday

so there is no doubt as to what we should consider today.

This is often a difficult thing for us to comprehend.

I actually think it is harder to explain the Trinity in words than to believe it in your heart.

We have a Godhead which is:  3 in 1 and 1 in 3

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are mentioned often in the Bible.

They have different roles which means that we are never alone, are always under the blood and we can bask in the Father's Love.

I think it is wonderful to be included in the Father's love, be cleansed by the blood of the Son and have the Holy Spirit teach and guide us.

In our church one of the things I love the most is the fact that we end each service with the Grace, extending this blessing on each other as we leave.

Isn't it wonderful to have the Father's love, be cleansed by the blood of the Son and to have the Holy Spirit teach and guide us?

Do you remember about the Trinity or do you think mostly on God the Father when you mention God?

  2. I hate to admit it but when I hear God I always think of the God the Father. I sometimes forget about the trinity, though I know it's very important. My mother reminds me this everyday.

    1. Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the post and you are too kind to mention my blog design as I made the header and signature myself and I'm a very newly interested amateur at those kinds of things. You might just guess though that I love Arks.

  4. I like the verse in 1John that you used. I had to add to my pastor's sermon with some scripture and thoughts he did not use so it was an edited and digested sermon. We often think of Jesus and God the Father and leave out the Holy Spirit forgetting that He is important as our guide, comforter and intercessor.

  5. Our pastor recently preached on the Trinity with a primary focus on the Holy Spirit but it was a message I truly enjoyed. Thank you for continuing to share this series with TWW. Blessings. xoxo

  6. I think mostly of Jesus but I think of being protected and moved by the Holy Spirit which He sent to "take care of us" when He went to be with the Father in Heaven. I actually think of Jesus and Holy Spirit more than God the Father. Even when I pray, I pray to Jesus and end with "in Your holy name". I have no idea if that is correct but that is what I do.

    1. I know what you mean Laura, there are different times when I think of the Godhead separately and sometimes all together but I think it has a lot to do with what we have been reading in the bible and how our life has been in the previous few days. I think we are not wrong in this happening.

  7. The Trinity is a really hard concept to grasp--three in one. And grasping the Father and the Son as different yet one... kind of mind boggling. :)

    1. Hi Sandra, I think we tend to appreciate the uniqueness of each one in the Godhead at different times and in different ways. I know God will understand when we feel we do not fully understand this concept but the relationship we have with God is obviously affected by all three persons of the Trinity.

  8. It is wonderful. I don't know what would happen to me without the Holy Spirit's guidance. I'm grateful for it. Have a nice Sunday.

  9. In our present-day world, with so much going around and about, the Trinity issue ain't as easy as it used to be. All I can do, with the Word, with the explanations, is trust the Lord. Nothing else works... HE does!!!

  10. I always pray to the Father in the name of Jesus and I try to always be aware that the Holy Spirit is my comforter and helper. Thanks for the reminder and for sharing at the Pretty Pintastic Party.
