Christian Songs for Kids - He's Alive!

Do you find it hard to get visuals and recordings for different kids songs?

I have always found this a problem so I am now sharing songs that I have used with children providing you with

(Powerpoint or Picture or details of how you can make one)

(chords also available)

(mp3 or video to learn the song)

Then if you would like to download the visual of the song there will be a link provided to my creation, or I will direct you to where else you can find it.

This month I am taking the theme of

I want to do an Easter song now in advance to give you time to prepare.

The song I have chosen is

He's Alive

Although I first learned this song as part of adult worship I love to do this with the kids groups as they always enjoy clapping to the beat and they need to know that
Jesus is ALIVE!

My husband is a worship leader but also accompanies the children a lot on the guitar and he will go up the keys while playing this with the kids just as he would in church worship time.

My original visual for this was made many years ago and was a large piece of pink card see below.

This original visual was hand written on A1 card and then covered in clear sticky plastic to help protect it and it did a good job because that visual can still be used today if necessary.

Then more recently I redesigned it on Powerpoint to be projected and also to be printed out on A4 cards

He's Alive, the stone's been rolled away
He's Alive, He's no longer where He lay
He's Alive, I can hear the angels say
Let all the earth rejoice He's Alive.

We always clap throughout this one.

Special "Thank You" to my husband Fred who looks after the Recordings and Chords

I have found some versions of a song with this as a chorus except the words are very slightly different and we have always sung it to a different tempo as well.
I have also found the chorus part on it's own attributed to

  1. I love Worshipping the Lord through song and sharing that with my children is a joy! I am so thankful for the men and women who put resources in our hands and lead our children in songs of praise on Sundays and Wednesdays! Thank you for being faithful to such a ministry! PS - Have you looked into Jumpstart 3? It's all scripture memory songs, set to contemporary pop music. My older boys simple love love love hiding God's Word in their hearts and calling it Rock!

    1. Hi Wendy, thanks for the encouragement.
Yes I have read about Jumpstart and their songs are great and singing is one of the best ways that I have taught memory verses too. I have also seen other videos advertising CDs and I have a variety of CDs that I can use but it is mostly the visuals that cause a problem. Cd;s & Videos & visuals (when they can be found) can cost a lot when you want to cover a lot of songs especially for small Churches and organisations. So I'm always on the lookout and creating things myself.

  2. What a great and fun idea! My son is the worship leader for our Awana program and he has found that the kids LOVE doing motions. So he has several kid's songs that he has either taught them the sign language for or just made up his own movement and motions. Some of the songs involve some spinning and hopping around which is good for getting those wiggles out before the council time, lol! Thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday.

  3. I absolutely love that song! It is so powerful. What a wonderful series you are offering here, Sandra. I think many will be served by this :).

  4. I love those. I am help out with the children's ministry and I love seeing them being more excited that they are learning Jesus and what he has done for us.

    The Dots of Teaching

  5. Thank you for being so generous! I love to hear my kids worship. Blessings.
    Laughter and Consistency

  6. How fun!!! I used to teach preschool at church and the kiddos LOVE singing! Thanks for linking up at the Motivational Monday link party! Hope you'll join us again this week!
