Christian Songs for Kids - Jesus' Love is Very Wonderful

Do you find it hard to get visuals and recordings for different kids songs?

I have always found this a problem so I am now sharing songs that I have used with children providing you with

Visuals
(Powerpoint or Picture or details of how you can make one)

Words
(chords also available)

Recording
(mp3 or video to learn the song)

Then if you would like to download the visual of the song there will be a link provided to my creation, or I will direct you to where else you can find it.

This month I am taking the theme of

The Love of Jesus

The song I have chosen is

Jesus' Love is Very Wonderful

I think this is another song that I first learnt through Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) which means I have been singing this one for around 40 years.

Kids love to do the actions for this one as it involves clapping and big arm movements.
Another thing we like to do is sing it a few times and then on the last time really speed it up.

Another great teaching tool for explaining to the children that there is nothing that cannot be encompassed by the love of Jesus.

ACTIONS

Jesus' love is very wonderful -  clapping in time to the music
Oh Wonderful Love   -  clapping in time to the music

It's so high you can't get over it  -  Point up repeatedly in time to the music with both hands, arms raised high
So low you can't get under it  -  Reach down and use an underneath motion with both hands repeatedly in time to the music
So wide you can't get around it   -  Swing arms out wide repeatedly in time to the music (making sure that the children are apart enough not to hit each other)
Oh Wonderful Love   -  clapping in time to the music

Christian Songs for Kids - Whisper a Prayer.

Previously I talked about not being able to find many powerpoint presentations to illustrate Christian Songs for Kids.

I had got to the point where I was making my own to use in our Church, Sunday School and an After School Bible Club our church runs in a nearby primary school each Monday.

NOW

I am going to try to share songs with you providing a

Visual
(Powerpoint or Picture or details of how you can make it)

Then if you would like to download the visual of the song there will be a link provided to my creation, or I will direct you to where else you can find it.

Also don't forget you can go to the side bar on the right (or see the link at the end of this blogpost and sign up for an email reminder of my posts. Then you will know when the next song is posted.

This song is in the theme of

 PRAYER

I thoroughly believe we should teach and encourage children to pray.

The song I have chosen is

 WHISPER A PRAYER

I first got familiar with this song when I got involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship and had a Good News Club in our home before we even had any children ourselves.

I used to have an old circular visual for it (the template was provided by CEF) where there was a circle of card behind another circle which had a sector cut out of it at the top and the two cards were held together by a pin.  The words "Whisper a prayer in"  were written on the front card and also the words "to keep your heart in tune" and as you sang the song you rotated the back circle so that a picture of a rising sun appeared for "morning", a picture of a full sun appeared for "noon" and a picture of a moon came up for "evening".

Recently I designed & made a new (slightly different) visual for it because my old one was so tattered.

VISUAL

To See a Tutorial of how this visual was made click on the picture above and you will be taken to my other site The Ark Page containing tutorials and other resources for Kids Work.

I like to use this song to settle the children down to be ready to pray.

But it can also be used to teach the children about praying regularly each day and linked in with the story of Daniel.

WORDS

WHISPER A PRAYER

Whisper a prayer in the morning
Whisper a prayer at noon
Whisper a prayer in the evening
To keep your heart in tune.

God answers prayer in the morning
God answers prayer at noon
God answers prayer in the evening
So keep your heart in tune.

ACTIONS

We usually sing this one reverently & quietly without any actions.

RECORDING

My husband likes to experiment with recording music so at different times he has made some recordings for kids songs for me and this is one he made  -  you won't recognize the voices in the recording but you might be able to guess who they belong to.

Special "Thank You" to my husband Fred who looks after the Recordings and the Chords

I Hope you enjoy the song and this is a help to you.

Notes:
