Last year from January to June I wrote a series on
Why We Worship where I considered an attribute of God each Sunday.
At different times people mentioned to me about a song that a post reminded them of so I thought that I would now go through those attributes again with a song for each one.
I hope you will follow along with me.
Looking today at
God is Good
Looking today at
God is Good
God is Good
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time
When you're walking through the valley
And there are shadows all around
Do not fear, He will guide you
He will keep you safe and sound
'Cause He's promised to never leave you
Nor forsake you and His Word is true
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time
We are sinners, so unworthy
Still for us He chose to die
Filled us with His Holy Spirit
Now we can stand and testify
That His love is everlasting
And His mercies - they will never end
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time
Though I may not understand
All the plans He has for me
My life is in His hands
And through the eyes of faith, I can clearly see
God is good all the time
He put a song of praise in this heart of mine
God is good all the time
Through the darkest night, His light will shine
God is good, God is good all the time

I used to worship the Lord occasionally. NOW, in the past stretch of time, I worship Him moment-by-moment, day-by-day, and He has me driving around and about to worship and to determine what other gods are being in control of some of the locations. I can lift Him up higher and higher and pray over and over again that the demonic and other gods will loose their control and strength. He's had me do it sometimes in the last 20 years... U.S., Uganda, Costa Rica, Morocco... but now in our local area in mid-U.S., has me drive nearly every day to worship and pray in neighborhoods and small towns. Anyhow, thank you. As I often say, "Reality Strikes Again!".
ReplyDeleteYES, He's good ALL the time! It's easy to sing when things are going well in our estimation. But oh, how sweet it must be to our Father when we sing it with broken hearts and tear-stained faces. Thank you for sharing this with us at Grace & Truth!
ReplyDeleteLove this SONG!! It's infectious, thanks so much for the blessing.
ReplyDeleteI like the line: Through the darkest night, His light will shine. Great song!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Sandra! YES HE IS!
ReplyDeleteSongs are especially a great way to teach children about their great God. My girls love singing. :)
